Please Enjoy Responsibly – MurLarkey Distilled Spirits, a craft distillery, is adding two new, aged spirits to its current collection of all-natural, handmade vodka, gin and whiskeys. Having won five medals at the American Distilling Institute’s 11th Annual Judging of Craft Spirits in 2017, the distillery announced two new whiskeys – Heritage and Smokehouse. The new products pay homage to the distillery’s Irish roots and honor the history of the founders’ families. The distillery uses corn from the nearby Culpepper Farm Co-op and barley from Copper Fox Distillery. The new limited release products, can be purchased or sampled at the distillery’s tasting room. Floral and honeyed on the nose, the first sip of this whiskey is a bold medley of sweet candied orange and piquant ginger. Aperitivo Hour – Diners can enjoy Aperitivo Hour at Rosario seven days a week. The Adams Morgan restaurant will offer food and drink at deliciously low prices. During Aperitivo Hour, cocktails include fresh, boozy takes on classic, Italian aperitivo drinks like the Americano and Aperol spritz, both served on tap, and the Rosario 50/50 Martini made with Spring 44 gin, Cocchi Rosa vermouth and orange bitters. A collection of spritzers blends prosecco, amaro, liquor and juice to highlight flavors of cantaloupe, strawberry, blackberries and ginger. Pups and Pints – Silver, an American brasserie in Bethesda, is hosting Pups on the Patio happy hours every Thursday through September with menu specials and pet-friendly giveaways. Guests can enjoy drinks, appetizers, and dinner with their furry best friends outside on Silver’s patio. The weekly event will run through Thursday, Sept. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. Silver’s happy hour features more than 30 items priced at five dollars. In addition, there will be drink specials and surprises for the pups attending. Some of the proceeds from each Pups on the Patio event will benefit area dog rescue groups.
