This holiday season, Executive Chef and co-owner Shannan Troncoso of Brookland’s Finest are preparing family recipes for cakes and pies available for pre-order now. Chef Troncoso uses her family’s treasured recipe for Red Velvet Cake originally made by her grandmother, for her brother, born on Valentine’s Day. The Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie is made with Bourbon, an addition inspired by Chef Shannan's southern roots. The menu also includes a SweetPotato Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie as well as Triple Chocolate Cake with Rosewater Buttercream and Spiced Cheesecake with Oreo Crust. Two days notice is required when ordering pies and cakes. The last day to order for Thanksgiving is Monday, November 19th and desserts are available for pickup until Wednesday, November 21st.

In celebration of Thanksgiving, the café will be selling their famed holiday pies, offered in three different flavors including Classic Pecan, Pumpkin, and Double-Crusted Apple. Each pie is made with an all-butter crust and guests have the option of choosing decorative dough toppings including leaves and a tree of life. Little Red Fox will also offer Polyface Farm turkeys, a free-range and pasture-raised alternative to birds commonly found at the supermarket. Guests can pre-order their pies and turkeys using this here, and can pick up on Tuesday, November 20 until close and Wednesday, November 21 until 4:00 p.m.

They are offering a Thanksgiving catering menu which can be pre-ordered now until November 19 and picked up as late as Thanksgiving Day. The catering menu includes whole roasts and pre-carved turkey breast, turkey legs, whole turkey, brisket, ham, and of course the beloved top round roast beef. Sides include green beans sautéed in garlic butter sauce, broccoli with cheese sauce topped with bread crumbs and parmesan, candied yams slow cooked in a brown sugar glaze, homemade stuffing with French bread, fresh Braeburn apples and sweet Italian sausage, and garlic mashed Yukon potatoes. MGM also offers Turkey gravy, cranberry chutney, and pies for dessert. Catering orders can be made via phone and can be picked up on Thanksgiving Day between 9:00 a.m.-12: 00 p.m.

Chef Alex Levin’s  4th Annual Thanksgiving Pop-Up Bakeshop is back with some exciting new additions. The popup will offer a selection of handmade pies, specialty desserts, and artisanal candies. These desserts also make amazing gifts for friends, family, or business associates. New for this year, Alex is offering Parker House and pretzel rolls.  Each order will help give back; Alex and team will be catering all of the desserts for SMYAL's Youth Friendsgiving Dinner and supporting them with a portion of the proceeds of the pop-up bakery. Inside the beltway delivery options will be available on Tuesday, November 20 and Wednesday, November 21 before the holiday.
