With Mardi Gras Season in full swing, native New Orleanian, celebrity chef David Guas is celebrating with a new venture. A Pop-Up Mardi Gras Headquarters at Union Market. Starting February 1 through Fat Tuesday, February 28 his limited shop will serve whole and by-the-slice “BB” King Cakes. In keeping with the New Orleans tradition, Gaus will be putting his signature sweet spin on a classic praline, with the introduction of his very own Graslines, a buttery sugar cookie topped with purple, green and gold sprinkles and a freshly baked praline. 1309 5th Street NE. Month Of Love At Sofitel

Oyamel’s 10th Annual Tequila Mezcal Festival

This two week-long festival begins with Oyamel’s annual Tequila Mezcal Festival’s Kickoff Party on Monday, which will feature more than a dozen unique tequila and mezcal tasting stations, passed bites and specialty cocktails, live music, and more. The festival will feature a series of complimentary tastings in the bar as well as ticketed dinners hosted by tequila and mezcal purveyors Fortaleza Tequila/El Silencio Mezcal, and 123 Organic Tequila. Fat Tuesday Party At Black Jack
