Cherry Blossom Pop-up Bar At Mockingbird Hill And Southern Efficiency

Drink Company returns this Spring with the Cherry Blossom PUB (Pop-up Bar), where James Beard Award-nominated Mockingbird Hill and Southern Efficiency will take on Japan with a cherry blossom-inspired transformation. The two bars will roll out new decor and exclusive menus, inspired by Washington, D.C.’s most beautiful season. Draped in pink, Southern Efficiency will feature an origami crane chandelier and an impressive collection of maneki-neko, Japan’s world-famous lucky “waving cats” against a beautiful backdrop of cherry blossom art by iconic D.C. artist Maggie O’Neill. At Mockingbird Hill, nostalgia will reign supreme with an ode to the beloved Super Mario Bros., featuring an entire room dedicated to the Mushroom Kingdom and a special corner reserved for super villain King Koopa. Mockingbird Hill and Souther Efficiency will be open March 1 through April 15, 5:00 pm to 12:30 am Sunday through Thursday and 5:00 pm to 1:30 am Friday and Saturday. Drive-In Movie Night At Union Market

Union Market, northeast D.C’s vibrant culinary and retail district, will kick off its monthly drive-in movie series with feature presentation The Royal Tenenbaums. The special screening marks the start of Union Market’s annual classic American drive-in experience, which in partnership with Getaround, is held in the parking lot and projected onto the market’s wall. Movie lovers and retro fanatics alike can munch on theater-quality delectables while The DC Rollergirls will be on hand delivering snacks and drinks on wheels. Easter Egg Hunt At Old Town Boutique District

The Old Town Boutique District will hold their own Easter Egg Hunt. Take your kids and have them find the egg in each shop and they’ll stamp your map (kind of  like Where’s Waldo, which they do in July).  Your family will have a chance to win one of three Easter Baskets stuffed with surprises from all of us. Be sure to check store hours of each participating store–however, most stores will open by 11:00 a.m. The hunt will begin at Pacers at 1301 King Street.
