Cherry Blossom Pop-up Bar At Mockingbird Hill And Southern Efficiency

Drink Company returns this Spring with the Cherry Blossom PUB (Pop-up Bar), where James Beard Award-nominated Mockingbird Hill and Southern Efficiency will take on Japan with a cherry blossom-inspired transformation. The two bars will roll out new decor and exclusive menus, inspired by Washington, D.C.’s most beautiful season. Draped in pink, Southern Efficiency will feature an origami crane chandelier and an impressive collection of maneki-neko, Japan’s world-famous lucky “waving cats” against a beautiful backdrop of cherry blossom art by iconic D.C. artist Maggie O’Neill. At Mockingbird Hill, nostalgia will reign supreme with an ode to the beloved Super Mario Bros., featuring an entire room dedicated to the Mushroom Kingdom and a special corner reserved for super villain King Koopa. Mockingbird Hill and Souther Efficiency will be open March 1 through April 15, 5:00 pm to 12:30 am Sunday through Thursday and 5:00 pm to 1:30 am Friday and Saturday. Easter Egg Hunt At Old Town Boutique District

The Old Town Boutique District will hold their own Easter Egg Hunt. Take your kids and have them find the egg in each shop and they’ll stamp your map (kind of  like Where’s Waldo, which they do in July).  Your family will have a chance to win one of three Easter Baskets stuffed with surprises from all of us. Be sure to check store hours of each participating store–however, most stores will open by 11:00 a.m. The hunt will begin at Pacers at 1301 King Street. National Beer Day At Takoda

Takoda will be celebrating one year of service and National Beer Day with a congratulatory toast and a limited supply of specialty kegs. Specialty kegs include the Allagash Brewing Company’s St. Klippenstein, a Belgian strong dark ale; Southern Tier Brewing Company’s Imperial Cherry Gose, an imperial sour ale brewed with tart cherry juice, and the Flying Dog Brewery’s Brewhouse Rarities Bee Beer, a saison/farmhouse ale style beer made with bee pollen and a touch of honey. All Purpose Brunch Debut

All-Purpose Pizzeria in Shaw will now be serving Sunday brunch. Chef Mike Friedman and his team have created a variety of classic brunch dishes with creative Italian American twists. During brunch, breakfast pizzas will join All-Purpose classics on the menu. The Cipriani has a smooth parmigiano fonduta, crisp bacon, egg, bright and crunchy frisee, and is topped with a tart mustard vinaigrette. The Balthazar (a pizza-style croque madame) has creamy gruyere, mozzarella and bechamel topped with a baked egg, prosciutto crudo and chives. Coffee drinks, specialty brunch cocktails and classic eye-openers will also be on the menu. Sunday hours will be 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for brunch and 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. for dinner. Resistors BC: Final Fundraiser For The Arc Via Tour Du Rouges At Boundary Stone DC

RESISTORS BC will be hosting a fundraising event at Boundary Stone Public House of Note in Washington DC. Their team will be there to do an indoor cycling challenge involving bets, alcohol, some cycling, and all things bad.
