Cherry Blossom Pop-up Bar At Mockingbird Hill And Southern Efficiency

Drink Company returns this Spring with the Cherry Blossom PUB (Pop-up Bar), where James Beard Award-nominated Mockingbird Hill and Southern Efficiency will take on Japan with a cherry blossom-inspired transformation. The two bars will roll out new decor and exclusive menus, inspired by Washington, D.C.’s most beautiful season. Draped in pink, Southern Efficiency will feature an origami crane chandelier and an impressive collection of maneki-neko, Japan’s world-famous lucky “waving cats” against a beautiful backdrop of cherry blossom art by iconic D.C. artist Maggie O’Neill. At Mockingbird Hill, nostalgia will reign supreme with an ode to the beloved Super Mario Bros., featuring an entire room dedicated to the Mushroom Kingdom and a special corner reserved for super villain King Koopa. Spring Pastas at Urbana

Come out for the next installment in the 2016-2017 cooking demo series; “Spring Pastas”. In select cooking demo classes, Chef Ethan McKee will show how he makes his bucatini amatriciana. Through the end of the year, Urbana is donating $1 to the Italian Red Cross for every order of bucatini amatriciana benefitting earthquake relief efforts in Amatrice. Urbana has celebrated the Italian and Mediterranean cultures since its opening in 2006. When the devastating earthquake hit Italy in late August, Chef McKee and the Urbana team rallied together to create an #EatForItaly menu. Urbana continues to donate $1 to the Italian Red Cross for every order of the bucatini amatriciana (a popular dish from Amatrice),and is dedicated to doing so for the remainder of 2016. Taste of Monticello Wine Trail Festival: Wine Tasting Event At Sprint Pavilion

The Taste of Monticello Wine Trail Festival, an established spring tradition in Charlottesville, is a partnership between the Monticello Wine Trail, Sprint Pavilion and the Jefferson Theater, with presenting sponsor Mercedes-Benz of Charlottesville. The Monticello Wine Trail is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote quality grapes and wine produced in the Monticello AVA. Dynamic winemakers, who are creating a unique wine region that features wines with an authentic expression of place, shape the region. The high quality of these wines is often recognized with success in national and international wine competitions. The final day of the Festival includes a tasting event at Sprint Pavilion featuring 25 local wineries and live entertainment from the Rick Olivarez Trio. Wildfire Easter Egg Hunt And Buffet
