Croissant Baking Class At Little Bits

Maryland Craft Beer Festival Presented By The Brewers Association of Maryland

Second Annual DC Bike Ride

DC Bike Ride, the region’s premier scenic urban bike ride, has announced its entertainment lineup for the Finish Line Festival and on-course performances! Ride participants will rock out to stellar local bands, spin master DJs and headline act, international hip-hop star Biz Markie! After departing West Potomac Park (the new start location in 2017), riders will approach mile 2.5 and enjoy the Eastern Senior High Drumline. Up next, the Dupont Brass Band, founded by Howard University music majors, will keep the good vibes going with their eclectic, soulful sound at miles 5.75 and 7.25.  The second half of the course will feature Red Bull’s MXT DJ Truck at mile 15 and renowned all-women Afro-Brazilian percussion band, Batalá, at mile 18. The Finish Festival, which will kick-off at 9:30 am and continue through 1:00 pm, will be located on Pennsylvania Avenue between 6th St. NW and 7th St. NW. This iconic location, near the U.S. Capitol, will also feature additional activities including: a post-ride yoga session with Kate Grove of YogaVibez & Sunrise SUP, presented by KIND Healthy Snacks, a diverse food truck lineup, a Kids’ Zone with family-friendly activities, the official DCBR Souvenir Shop and partner activations from Events DC, REI, KIND Healthy Snacks and the Washington Area Bicyclists Association. Spring Pastas at Urbana

Come out for the next installment in the 2016-2017 cooking demo series; “Spring Pastas”.  In select cooking demo classes, Chef Ethan McKee will show how he makes his bucatini amatriciana. Through the end of the year, Urbana is donating $1 to the Italian Red Cross for every order of bucatini amatriciana benefitting earthquake relief efforts in Amatrice. Urbana has celebrated the Italian and Mediterranean cultures since its opening in 2006. When the devastating earthquake hit Italy in late August, Chef McKee and the Urbana team rallied together to create an #EatForItaly menu. Urbana continues to donate $1 to the Italian Red Cross for every order of the bucatini amatriciana (a popular dish from Amatrice),and is dedicated to doing so for the remainder of 2016.
