Delaplane Strawberry Festival At Sky Meadows State Park

Come spend Memorial Day weekend at the 24th Annual Delaplane Strawberry Festival! In addition to having delicious, gourmet-sized strawberries for sale, the festival features live music, a corn hole tournament both days, children’s games, hayrides, pony rides, a 4-H petting zoo, crafts, strolling entertainers, a 5k trail run and much more.  Held at the scenic Sky Meadows State Park, the festival is sponsored by Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Delaplane and all proceeds go to support the ministries of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and their outreach programs including grants to numerous local, national, and international non-profit organizations.  The cost is $25 per car at the gate, or $20 in advance. 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. 11012 Edmonds Ln, Delaplane, VA. Bird’s Eye x Proof Pig Roast At Doi Moi

Chefs Austin Fausett and Sasha Felikson be roasting a heritage pig from Spring House Farm in Virginia, and serving it nose to tail with all the fixin’s. Intro To Buttercream Class At Little Bitts

During this class you will make a simple buttercream cake with smooth side accented with buttercream roses.  You can expect to learn: how to secure cake to a board; to torte, fill, layer and level; crumb coating a cake; icing consistency; icing a cake smooth; piping techniques for borders, piping basic flowers and leaves.
