The most anticipated pop-up of the summer is coming. Drink Company and Ommegang Brewery presents the Game of Thrones Pop-Up Bar (PUB), in the spaces formerly known as Mockingbird Hill, Southern Efficiency, and Eat the Rich. At the Game of Thrones PUB, you will visit scenes from the North, the Red Keep, Mereen, the House of Black and White, and the Throne Room. Cocktails such as What is Dead May Never Die and The Lannisters Send their Regards will be paired with the show’s soundtrack. Swords, dragons, horns, and an Iron Throne help celebrate the show’s summer return. The Red Keep features the Armory, where you can pledge allegiance to your house banners, and take a picture as the flayed man on a custom piece built by The Strong Oaks Woodshop. Just not during the show itself when the bar will be closed. Ommegang Brewery’s Bend the Knee, the official Game of Thrones beer, will be on draft. Leading up to the 186th Belgian National Day on Friday, July 21, 2017, Brasserie Beck and all Mussel Bar & Grille locations will offer locals the chance to partake in seven days of authentic food and drink specials. During these days, Mussel Bar & Grille locations will shell out all-you-can-eat mussels, any type, for $28 during both lunch and dinner. At Brasserie Beck, Wiedmaier is paying homage to his culinary roots with a Belgian prix-fixe menu. This special lunch features a choice of three courses for $35 ranging from Belgian endive salad to provincial Ratatouille and the Belgian chocolate tart with crème fraîche. Continuing the gastronomic fête, visitors at the bar of Brasserie Beck during dinner can enjoy a special pot of mussels with Bouillabaisse sauce, pernod and sea urchin butter for $19.
