Game Of Thrones Pop-Up Bar

The most anticipated pop-up of the summer is coming. Drink Company and Ommegang Brewery presents the Game of Thrones Pop-Up Bar (PUB), in the spaces formerly known as Mockingbird Hill, Southern Efficiency, and Eat the Rich. At the Game of Thrones PUB, you will visit scenes from the North, the Red Keep, Mereen, the House of Black and White, and the Throne Room. Cocktails such as What is Dead May Never Die and The Lannisters Send their Regards will be paired with the show’s soundtrack. Swords, dragons, horns, and an Iron Throne help celebrate the show’s summer return. The Red Keep features the Armory, where you can pledge allegiance to your house banners, and take a picture as the flayed man on a custom piece built by The Strong Oaks Woodshop. Mess Hall’s whole-animal butchering class, paired with beer from DC Brau and dinner from Sloppy Mama’s Barbeque is back. Gather to watch Mike Haney, a skilled butcher from the Salt Line (Formerly of Burch & Barley and All Purpose) break down a beautiful free range, heritage pig, sourced directly from Spring House Farm, in Lovettsville Va. During the interactive 3 hour event, Mike will cover many butchering techniques and skills while you indulge in local craft beers and BBQ. Yes, you can don gloves and participate to an extent (but you cannot wield the blades!). They will also discuss various types of charcuterie preparations, and unlimited Q&A. Joe Neuman, pitmaster and founder of Sloppy Mama’s Barbeque will provide a dinner of smoked pork and hand-made sausages, plus sides.
