Game Of Thrones Pop-Up Bar

The most anticipated pop-up of the summer is coming. Drink Company and Ommegang Brewery presents the Game of Thrones Pop-Up Bar (PUB), in the spaces formerly known as Mockingbird Hill, Southern Efficiency, and Eat the Rich. At the Game of Thrones PUB, you will visit scenes from the North, the Red Keep, Mereen, the House of Black and White, and the Throne Room. Cocktails such as What is Dead May Never Die and The Lannisters Send their Regards will be paired with the show’s soundtrack. Swords, dragons, horns, and an Iron Throne help celebrate the show’s summer return. The Red Keep features the Armory, where you can pledge allegiance to your house banners, and take a picture as the flayed man on a custom piece built by The Strong Oaks Woodshop. Solar Eclipse Viewing Party At Sweet Frog

The Great American Total Solar Eclipse is coming and sweetFrog is inviting young students to bring their families out for an educational viewing party complete with sweet solar treats. SweetFrog Frozen Yogurt shops will partner with local teachers to host Solar Eclipse viewing parties as the “path of totality” approaches each community.  You are encouraged to stop by and “create your own eclipse” by slowly topping yellow cake batter frozen yogurt with chocolate syrup. While you are encouraged to bring your own solar viewing glasses, local teachers and store owners/managers will help you safely view the eclipse with homemade pinhole cameras (a NASA recommended device made of white card stock, aluminum foil, tape and a paper clip). The teachers will also give a quick educational lesson on The Great American Total Solar Eclipse – the first to be seen in the US since 1979 – using space-themed coloring sheets and a total eclipse workbook provided by sweetFrog. This is sure to be a fun and visual story for your solar eclipse coverage.
