Yoga is as much a spiritual practice as it is a physical one, and the core of the ancient philosophy is inscribed in the nearly 200 aphorisms that comprise the Yoga Sutras. Written some two thousand years ago by the guru Pantajali, these texts offer timeless wisdom on how to live an ethical and healthful life and how to cope with inevitable pain and loss. In this accessible, engaging handbook to the Sutras, DiNardo, a writer, yoga instructor, and owner of D.C.’s Past Tense yoga studio, groups the works thematically, offers brief commentary, and provides writing prompts for deeper and more personal reflection on this path to enlightenment. This event is free to attend with no reservation required. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. For more information, please click here.
