In celebration of Mexico’s upcoming Independence Day Mi Vida will be offering a special Chiles en Nogada dish with $2 per dish being donated to the Mexican Cultural Institute in D.C. A source of pride and a representation of the Mexican flag due to the colors of the dish, the Chiles en Nogada features roasted poblano peppers, filled with beef and pork picadillo, peaches, pears, apples, pomegranate, and an almond-walnut-pecan sauce ($26). Chef Roberto Santibañez and KNEAD Hospitality + Design are excited to donate a portion of the proceeds from the dish to the Mexican Cultural Institute, whose mission is to enrich the relationship between Mexico and the United States by sharing Mexico’s vibrant cultural past and present with the local community.
