Join the table at Pass the Plate Pot Luck: A Cross-Cultural, Heritage-Inspired Dinner Event. This delightful and delicious dinner will be featuring culinary foodways historian and cookbook author, Michael Twitty, as well as the artisans of their current art exhibit, Makers In The Mansion! The main course will be a dish from Michael’s cookbook, and they will also be featuring local food makers – drinks from Wild Hare Cider and cocktails made with Element Shrub and delicious bites from Bread & Water Company. Share the food of your family at their casual, unique, potluck dinner that is open to guests of all heritages, inspired by their current Makers In The Mansion exhibit. Each guest, or group of guests, as part of their participation will be asked to bring a dish which highlights their own family story. Woodlawn will provide exhibit tours and all the other bits that will make the evening very special, as Michael leads a spirited conversation about how food can highlight identity and connect everyone. Tickets range from $40-$80 depending on which dish you bring. The event is from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
