Whaley’s is undergoing a seasonal transformation and becoming FUYU, offering Chef Daniel Perron’s take on shabu shabu. Shabu Shabu is literally a centerpiece of Japanese cuisine. Each table will feature a hot-pot of simmering broth – house-crafted dashi or red miso – so you can create your own meal family-style. Given Whaley’s focus on pristine seafood, the FUYU menu will showcase both fish and shellfish, along with premium meats. Along with Whaley’s oysters-on-the-half-shell and seafood towers, the menu will include shareable binchotan charcoal grilled, tempura plates and other dishes. FUYU will offer a daily happy hour with $1 River Keeper oysters, plus a selection of cocktails and snacks all under $10. FUYU will be open Monday to Saturday from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. Happy hour is available 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. daily.
