Washington, D.C. chef and restaurateur Mike Isabella announces the return of his winner-takes-all Sandwich Madness competition as the region’s top food journalists and media personalities face off for charity. Each month, two journalists will compete head-to-head with the winner determined by the number of sandwiches sold, banking $1 from each sale for a charity of his or her choosing. Victors will progress to the next round, culminating in a final matchup in November. Now in its fourth season, Sandwich Madness has raised nearly $15,000 for local non-profits since the tournament kicked off in 2015, supporting organizations ranging from No Kid Hungry to the Rottweiler Rescue Foundation to Girls Rock.
