We had a wonderful variety of guests on Foodie & The Beast this week. Shizu Okusa made sure we drank, alot — specifically, our fruits and veggies. Throughout the show Shizu poured her restorative waters and 100% fruit and veggie-based drinks from JRINK Juicery. The chef with the coolest name around, Cable Smith, stopped by to give us a taste of his reimagined menu at The Royal. He served up some ridiculously delicious biscuits along with his take on a Sausage Egg & Cheese Sandwich which had everyone in studio fighting for a bite. Erica Meier of Compassion Over Killing had us re-thinking our diet as she shared insight on why she became Vegan and some simple strategies for leading a healthier, greener lifestyle. She also gave us the 411 on the upcoming DC VegFest, a free festival celebrating plant-based foods and compassion for animals. When we thought, we couldn’t eat anymore, Chef Ed McIntosh brought in some tasty tacos for us to sample from his new delivery concept at Tortilladora. With the launch of taco kits, you can finally have quality to-go food delivered for a stress-free meal, right to your door. To listen to the whole show, please click here.
