We were back in the Foodie and The Beast studio for our first show of 2017, and it was all about new year, new you. Sunday’s guests offered a variety of ways to refresh the body, mind and spirit. Skinade is a revolutionary skin regimen that can best be described as a collagen drink for beautiful skin. CEO Piers Raper was in all the way from London to give us the Skinade 411. You first met Souper Girl, Sara Polon, on Foodie and The Beast a couple of years ago. Since then, she and her offering of healthy, low fat, low salt and sugar soups have gone supersonic. Souper Girl was back in with us today talking healthy soups for an energetic new you in the new year. Christal Bramson is the wife of Mike Bramson of Social Restaurant Group – Provision 14, The Prospect, and the soon to open Pamplona. Through working with Mike, she saw just how much food was wasted, and with more than 40 million people going hungry every day in the U.S., she wanted to do something about it. So she founded Care To Feed and joined up with other restaurant owners to donate surplus prepared meals to hunger relief organizations, and she was in to tell us all about it. Dawson’s, located in Rockville, is an awesome all-natural grocery store with a great offering of local foods and an inspiring commitment to community. Director of Operations, Bart Yablonsky, was in with Nourish Managers Sewnet Mengesha and Jutta Bracy with talk and tastes of Dawson’s. And if its Foodie and The Beast, there’s gotta be something alcoholic involved. So, we had Diane Gross of Cork Wine Bar in to provide us with some perfect cold weather libations.
