This week Foodie & The Beast discussed a variety of ways to eat, drink AND stay healthy this summer. Chad Cortner from Bin 1301 Wine Bar shared his Vermouth knowledge while pouring different wines for us to sip, and gave a post show porron tutorial. Dan Koslow and Andrew Harris filled us in on their new concept, Farmbird, which specializes in fresh, antibiotic-free, humanely raised chicken. They brought a variety of plates for us to taste that were both healthy and delicious. Chef Kathryn Irwin of Cirque Du Soleil provided some insight on how she creates meals for the nimble performers of the upcoming Cirque show OVO. Coach G from the newly opened Sweat DC, brought the heat as he shared his favorite tips for choosing good and healthy food and drink items when hosting a summer BBQ.
