Bourbon Steak,; environmental activist Lisa Comento leads the Surfrider Foundation’s Ocean Friendly Restaurants program, seeking to combat the plastic pollution suffocating our oceans with more than 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic and drive changes in behavior, all to drive improvements to our plastic (and water!) footprint; former Finnish Embassy executive chef, Mikko Kosonen opened his first restaurant, Mikko, in Dupont, and the Nordic cuisine at Mikko, says the Washington Post, “…represents the best of all the Nordic nations,” and Dancing Moon Coffee’s Jamie Weldon and Scott Steer give us talk and tastes of the health benefits and amazing flavor varieties of fair trade coffees from around the world.
