Fire Garden – Blue Duck Tavern has unveiled its Fire Garden a newly created outdoor oasis is reflective of a sunken garden complete with a spilling foundation. This Zen-like space is ideal for unwinding with family and friends to enjoy the crisp temperatures offset by the working firepits and cozy blankets provided on the terrace. The Fire Garden is open Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. (weather permitting). Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. Director of Food & Beverage and Culinary Operations Troy Knapp and Blue Duck Tavernحs Executive Chef Adam Howard are pleased to introduce an assortment of small bites ideal for sharing, to complement the new winter cocktails served in the Fire Garden and at Blue Duck Tavern Lounge. You can indulge in a Bavarian Pretzel, Chocolate Fondue with fresh fruit; Cheese Fondue with seasonal vegetables and toasted country bread; BDT Fries with spicy aioli; the Maryland Crab Roll with sunchoke chow-chow and the Short Rib Tartine with horseradish aioli and pickled onion. Don't forget about the winter cocktails showcasing a variety of herbs and fruits, spices, and house-made infusions. Choices include the Hot Ducky with fig-infused whiskey, black sesame honey, and lemon juice; U Street Buttered Rum with (Ethiopian spiced butter, cotton, and reed gold rum and five spiced syrup, and Coco with a Kick made with Mexican hot chocolate,) and more.
Whiskey Igloos – Enjoy cozy, heated igloos are located on the patio of the Next Whisky Bar and can accommodate up to 8 guests each. They offer three custom-designed igloos on the Kingbird Terrace. You can sip and savor in these winter igloos all season long; with food items such as Sourdough Grilled Cheese, Spicy Pork & Veal Meatballs, Grilled Lamb Ribs, Ribeye to share and more!
