This restaurant is “Top Chef” alum, Spike Mendelsohn’s latest concept serving guests casual Mexican food in Capitol Hill. The menu features nachos, salads, and Chipotle-inspired “casa bowls” contained with beans, rice, pico de gallo and a choice of meat. There is a strong emphasis on the restaurant’s tacos however; guests can choose between flour or corn tortillas and top their tacos with radish, onion and cilantro. Their tacos can be served in many ways: with carne asada, kale con arroz, barbacoa, pulled pork carnitas, Mexican chorizo and cheese, spicy fried shrimp, pollo grillado, al pastor or with roasted baby bellow mushrooms.
