Join Cheese Lady Jill Erber to learn about the history—and current landscape—of Irish cheesemaking while tasting five artisan cheeses and a perfectly-paired Irish Red Ale. Your class kit will serve two to four people and include buttery Cooleeney Dúnbarra Peppered Farmstead Brie (pasteurized cow), earthy, mellow Mossfield (pasteurized cow), aged Durrus Dunmanus (raw cow), super-rare Oak-Smoked Gubben (pasteurized cow), and delicately pungent Milleens (pasteurized cow). The cheeses will be accompanied by a mini loaf of Chef Natasha's Homemade Irish Soda Bread and traditional Irish accompaniment, Ballymaloe tomato & sultana relish. Irish Cocktails at Suburbia
At the popular drinks destination, Suburbia, – housed in a vintage airstream trailer – Chersevani has been inspired for years from her visits to the cocktail capital, New Orleans, and her favorite Irish bar, the Erin Rose, where the city’s Irish roots run far and deep in the Irish Channel. The Wild Erin Rose cocktail is a Frozen Irish Coffee topped with a Chartreuse Float. The fanfare found one those neighborhood streets is coming to this corner of Union Market – traditional handmade white and green paper carnations are being flown in to be given to those as a token of appreciation for celebrating at Suburbia. 1309 5th Street NE;

A Tropical Irish Celebration
Step over the Bonnie waters to the Wharf and don something, old or new, in the most fitting of hue, as the drinks will be flowing in the customary green. Not only do these drinks represent the favored color for the holiday, but for Todd Thrasher of Tiki TNT, it resonates with the crystal green, ocean waters of his formative years as a scuba instructor. Wet Money says it all – tequila blanco, vodka, blue curacao, and passion fruit, all soaked in salty green water. Taking it to the next level - F***, F***, F*** - made with Thrasher’s white rum, calvados, blue curacao, pineapple, and ginger beer. 1120 Maine Avenue SW;
