Ambitious local producer Supreme Core Cider’s 5,000-square-foot production facility and taproom is nearing completion near the National Arboretum this April. Supreme Core plucks its product from family-owned orchards, and its production plan is to churn out at least six ciders, including some experimental sours and infusions. Its first release, dubbed Micawber, came out last fall. Brews are being canned at Baltimore’s Charm City Meadworks until its Ivy City home is fully operational. For now, find Supreme Core’s brews at 50 locations throughout the city, including local chain Glen’s Garden Market as well as bars and restaurants such as Convivial, 801 Restaurant and Bar, and Hawthorne.
