The Speak, formerly shut down twice for operating without a proper liquor license, has reopened as The Mirror. This new basement bar, finally equipped with the appropriate paperwork, appears to be behind an abandoned storefront. Jeff Coles, the current beverage director, has said that The Mirror strives to dismantle all traditional speakeasy rules and bring in a diver-bar vibe- no passwords, dress codes, or reservations. Similarly, The Mirror offers the relaxed version of a charcuterie board- Lunchables. Guests can order these while enjoying cocktails that are priced around $10-$13.
