A New York-based maker’s market will be opening its first location D.C. in what the space formally occupied by Dean and DeLuca in Georgetown. While Artists and Fleas will feature food and drinks, the main focus will be local creatives selling their goods at this trendy flea market. Within this open-floor concept, 15 makers will have permanent spots, while 30 others are expected to rotate during weekends. The market hopes to create a new feel to the space by adding a DJ on weekends, creating an insta-friendly environment, and hosting a variety of workshops.
