RĀKO Coffee has been announced as one of the first small businesses coming to Arlington as part of Amazon's HQ2 commitment to minority and women-owned businesses. Lisa Gerben and her sister Melissa founded RĀKO Coffee, after being inspired by a family trip to Guatemala. They are known as a specialty coffee roaster that specializes in expertly crafted espresso drinks during the day, and at night, offering a natural wine program from women winemakers, owners, and growers. This new 250 square-foot spacethat will be opening in Amazon's Metropolitan Park, will be a day-to-night cafe that features espresso beverages, natural wines, craft cocktails, and more.
