Repeal Day Celebration

Ask any bartender in the city what is their favorite day of the year and every one will echo, “Repeal Day”. The anniversary of the end to years of hidden entrances and darkened doorways leading to illicit imbibing is a celebration for anyone who reveres spirits and the craft of cocktails. To harken back to the end of an era of cloak and dagger drinking, Bar Deco is throwing a Repeal Day Celebration. Guests donning clothing in throwback Prohibition-style will toast with classic cocktails including the Hemingway Daiquiri with local cotton & reed white rum, lime, grapefruit, cane sugar and luxardo, the Deco Old Fashioned, Bar Deco’s take on the iconic drink. As a nod to the secrecy-laden Prohibition years, guests can follow Bar Deco on Instagram @bardecodc where a password will be revealed prior to the party that, when whispered to a bartender, will give guests exclusive access to an off-menu special for the night.
