We should call this show, “Movers & Shakers”? Joining us are two of the people among others who are responsible for the DC area’s blossoming into a world-class dining mecca (with Michelin starred-restaurants now among us for the first time!) for locals and visitors alike. Kathy Hollinger is president and CEO of the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) and Ashok Bajaj, CEO of the Knightsbridge Group and one of DC’s preeminent restaurateurs and owner of such globally famed spots as Rasika, the Oval Room, the Bombay Club, and many others. They’re in talking the upcoming RAMMYs (June 30th, DC Convention Center), the secrets to Ashok’s successes and marketplace longevity and the many regulatory and other issues confronting the regional hospitality industry, from tipping to waste management and more.
Also joining us are the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner’s director of sales & marketing, Jon Chocklett, and executive sous chef Justin Bergo, in with all the details on the hotel’s new, wellness-focused, Sleep Sanctuary offering.
Warning: Do not doze off during the Sleep Sanctuary chat, because we also have with us Chantal Tseng, legendary, DC mixologist/somm (and more!) with passion for sherry, natural wines, books, cocktails & travel. Chantal is currently the Head Barkeep of the Reading Room of Petworth Citizen, where she runs her Literary Cocktails program as well as natural wine nights, Ice Cream Social Cocktail nights, Absinthe Nights and sherry events.
