The 10th Annual Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge happens May 17 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington. The Challenge encourages culinary diplomacy through the celebration of food, drinks, dance, music, and fashion. On this week’s Foodie and the Beast, we’re celebrating the “drinks!” We enjoyed tastes and talk with; Erik Moses, senior vice president and managing director of sports, entertainment, and special events for Events DC; Matthew Keller, representing the embassy of Liechtenstein, an avid foodie, when he’s off the clock he enjoys cooking and is known to imbibe on and even make a crafty cocktail or two; Carl Hartill, counselor, the Embassy of Canada, sampling a number of Canadian craft beers, and Cristina Tufts from Harbor Wines (representing the embassy of Moldova).
