PROJECTED OPENING: February 28th, 2020
1940 11th St NW
The team that brought the Michelin-honored restaurant, Royal, to the District will be opening their next venture, Lulu’s Winegarden, this February. This bottle-driven winegarden will feature two garden patios, dinner party fare that will have hints of the Southwest, and an affordable wine list selected by owner and wine director Paul Carlson. Owners Paul and Brittany Carlson hopes to create the sense of a backyard wine party meets beer garden at their new space. Lulu’s is group friendly as most seating is communal and will feature ice buckets to keep wine chilled. Guests can also get excited for food such as French onion dip in toast form, creative sandwiches like the fermented chile-smothered crispy chicken combo, and also allergy and dietary restriction-friendly options. Their will also be more than forty wine bottle options all priced at $49 and will also feature a selection of by the glass wines.
