Where:
Guinness Open Gate Brewery
5001 Washington Blvd, Halethorpe, MD

The brewers of the Guinness Open Gate Brewery have combined talents with Black beer enthusiasts, Jacquelyn (a.k.a. Jackie) Wonsey and Courtney Holden, to create a beer inspired by family tradition and increasing the presence and visibility of Black people in the beer community, hence the beer’s name “See Us.” The limited-edition brew releasing is a brown ale with sweet potato, lactose, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and vanilla with a 7% ABV and is available in 16oz cans and on draft. “See Us” is the first beer to debut in the brewery’s Allyship Through Collaboration Series led by Brewmaster Peter Wiens and Head Brewer Hollie Stephenson. The series is part of the Guinness Gives Back Baltimore Community Fund, a million dollar commitment to support three key focus areas in the Baltimore region’s Black community: economic justice, community empowerment, and equal representation. The brew is available in cans and on draft, at curbside pick-up, or for indoor/outdoor dining from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. For more information please click here.
