The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation proudly announces that the Annual Great Ladies Luncheon and Fashion Show, one of the city’s most high-profile philanthropic events of the year, returns on Tuesday, May 5th to the Ritz-Carlton West End from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This year’s Great Ladies Award honoree is Hilarity for Charity, founded by Seth and Lauren Miller Rogen to support family caregivers, brain health education and prevention research; Mark Roithmayr, the recently retired ADDF CEO, will receive the Estelle Gelman Award for expanding the global reach and impact of the ADDF over his career.
The ADDF is thrilled to partner with Bloomingdale’s to bring an elevated fashion experience to the luncheon, blending style and purpose in support of Alzheimer’s research. In collaboration with Bloomingdale’s, the event will feature a curated runway presentation celebrating the intersection of fashion, philanthropy, and innovation.
The star-studded Great Ladies Luncheon and Fashion Show spotlights and supports the groundbreaking work of the ADDF to accelerate the development of drugs to prevent, treat, and cure Alzheimer's and related dementias. Founded in 2011 by Elise and Marc Lefkowitz to celebrate the legacy of Elise’s mother, the late Estelle Gelman, a leading Washington businesswoman, civic leader, and philanthropist, the Great Ladies Luncheon today brings together a who’s who of Washington to celebrate that work and honor leaders in the field of Alzheimer’s research as they make incredible strides in the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. This year’s event spotlights prevention, with the naming of Hilarity for Charity as Great Ladies Award honoree for its incredible work focusing on cognitive health education and prevention, particularly among young people.
Tickets and tables for this year’s Great Ladies Luncheon range from $500.00 to $50,000.00 and can be purchased HERE. All proceeds from the event will directly support promising science advancing the ADDF’s mission to stop Alzheimer’s in its tracks.
