Learn to identify grapes and regions by color, acidity, residual sugar, tannin, alcohol, winemaking techniques, flavor, and aroma. These skills will help you improve your ability to assess, judge, describe, and buy wine (for consumers and professionals). You will blind taste 12 wines, each followed by a debriefing and group discussion. You will learn several blind tasting skills, which are described in detail here. Tickets are $95 per person. Wine samples can be picked up curbside at Capital Wine School by appointment on May 5th between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The class will be held on Cisco Webex or Zoom from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
