The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden celebrates the opening of Big Things for Big Rooms on February 20 from 6–8 PM with a special evening for visitors of all ages. The exhibition features 10 immersive, large-scale works from the late 1960s to today by major contemporary artists, including Sam Gilliam, Lygia Pape, and Robert Irwin. The free event includes a 7 PM jazz performance by Elijah Balbed within Rashid Johnson’s installation, access to current exhibitions, hands-on art-making, and refreshments available for purchase.
