The Square invites the community to celebrate the season at the annual Rockville Tree Lighting 2025 on Friday, December 5th, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. This beloved neighborhood tradition features an evening of festive entertainment, family-friendly activities, and holiday cheer.

Guests can enjoy live music from The Grandsons, a Washington, D.C.–based roots rock band, along with holiday dance performances by Dawn Crofton Dance Connection and choral performances from Rockville High School and Richard Montgomery High School. Families are encouraged to stop by the North Pole photobooth for free photos with Santa.

This year’s event also includes a Toys for Tots donation drive hosted by Morguard. Attendees are invited to bring new, unwrapped toys to help brighten the holidays for children in need. Seasonal refreshments—including hot cocoa, cookies, and treats from The Square’s restaurants—will be available throughout the evening.
