This show rocks – in so many ways! – from start to finish
What a life this guy’s had! Our first guest is Paul Cullen, the fascinating, former bassist with the legendary British band, Bad Company. Along with being a rocker, Paul is a somm and a gourmet chef, who now does “Cullen-ary” (Get it?!), in-home dining and entertainment events for which he cooks, pairs wines and then performs a concert for the guests. Next up? Lotsa cocktails! The annual RAMMY awards are coming up, and frequent nominee, Ledroit Park’s The Royal, is up again for several awards, including Cocktail Program of the Year … The Royal’s bar manager, Jake Kenny, is in mixing up some of their signature cocktails for us. And speaking of signature cocktails,
all-star mixologist Adam Bernbach, late of Two Birds, One Stone and now Estadio’s bar director, also in is concocting great drinks celebrating Spain’s love of the “gintonic” (that’s gin and tonic, for you Yanks and Brits), all part of Estadio’s 2nd Annual “Juniotónico: a Gintonic Festival”. What?  MORE COCKTAILS? Yep! Mixology brothers Micah and Ari Wilder, proprietors of Chaplin’s in Shaw recently opened Zeppelin, their new, omakase experience that, along with sushi, yakitori, and other Japanese menu items, also features truly amazing cocktails to match.  But wait …. There’s more! Cleveland Spears, III is on the phone with details of the upcoming, June 22, La Fête du Rosé Wine and Music Festival at National Harbor. Dress in pink and or white (a la rosé!), dance, sip great rosés, dine on celebrity chef-themed picnics and live large!
