CHAO BAN

Openings

2001 International Drive, McLean, VA

Chef Kevin Tien and Managing Partner Alan Vo have opened their concept, Chao Ban, a fast-casual Vietnamese-American counter concept created to reflect their shared background as first-generation Vietnamese raised in Louisiana. Located in Tysons Galleria, this new concept is designed as a fine fast counter service restaurant, Chao Ban brings together flavorful yet easy-to-enjoy dishes from across Asia alongside familiar American formats. The opening menu offers two different kinds of Pho Noodles, a Catfish Bánh Mì, Rice Platters, with a selection of shareable snacks like an “Impossible” Xui Mai, Honey Pecan Shrimp, Honey Pecan Shrimp and other treats. Eight signature plates will anchor the visual identity of the brand. A beverage program that focuses on Vietnamese coffee and tea will follow the initial opening, highlighting Southeast Asian growing regions and traditional preparation styles that complement the food.
