KARRAVAAN
325 Morse Street NE
Chef Sanjay Mandhaiya has opened his new restaurant Karravaan in DC’s Union Market District. This new 3,696 square-foot concept draws inspiration from across Persian, Portuguese, Indian, Turkish, and Tibetan culinary traditions. The menu spotlights the connections between these industrious Silk Road cultures and the ancient, criss-crossing roots of their spice-laden cuisines. Menu highlights include Tibetan Momos, Forbidden Duck, Carne de Vinha d’Alhos, and more. Bar Manager Brian Swayze has created sips such as the Terracotta Warrior and A Phil For You. For more information, visit Karravaan’s website site here.
