Restaurateur Antonio Matarazzo and Chef Matteo Venini have opened a third Stellina Pizzeria location in D.C.'s Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood. Formerly home to The Waffle Shop, this 2,900 square-foot space boasts two dining areas including a main dining area and a bar. It features up to 82-seats, as well as an additional 42-seats in the adjacent dining room. Eventually an 11,000 sqaure-foot patio will open, featuring 32-seats for guests to sit outside. The menu features similar offerings to its Union Market and Shirlington locations, focusing on Neo-Neopolitan pizzas as well as street food inspired by the Southern coast of Italy. The beverage program focuses on Italian wines, beers, and spirits, as well as specialty coffee and espresso.
