Amaro And A Movie Night

Experience the amaro of another era and taste your way through the Amalfi Coast with DC's own Don Ciccio & Figli, and then cap off your night with a screening of The Great Beauty presented by Suns Cinema – a Mount Pleasant hot spot for indie, art, and cult classic films. Jonathan Fasano, Portfolio Manager at Don Ciccio & Figli, will lead participants through an amaro tasting and talk that reaches all the way back to 1883, when family patriarch Vincenzo Amodeo starting crafting fine Italian liqueurs in the coastal town of Atrani. Attendees will explore the depth and breadth of Italian amaros, and are then invited to stay for a screening of the Itaian film, The Great Beauty – the story of an aging Italian writer and social butterfly who later in life begins to look past the nightclubs and parties to find a landscape of exquisite beauty.
