Community Day Block Party

On Saturday, August 23, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, one of the city’s most vibrant celebrations returns—Community Day, a FREE all-day block party and open house in Southwest DC.

This year, the event takes over 6th Street SW with eight hours of outdoor fun and indoor programming for all ages. Whether you're a longtime neighbor or first-time visitor, there’s something for everyone:
