Perch Supper Club is a new & intimate dining experience in Washington DC from Chef Sam Molavi and Spencer Launer. Each dinner will pair seasonal ingredients with delicious wine and intriguing conversation. All proceeds will go to non-profits that are changing the world. The inaugural supper club will benefit World Central Kitchen, founded by Chef José Andrés in 2010. WCK began serving hot meals within hours of the initial invasion of Ukraine, and quickly set up at the eight border crossings with Poland. Since then, WCK's Chefs for Ukraine response has grown rapidly, and is distributing nourishing food and fresh meals across the region, including Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, and Spain. In addition to WCK's field kitchen, WCK is working with local restaurants, caterers, and food trucks to provide fresh and comforting meals at border crossings, shelters, and other locations along their journey. WCK is also distributing bulk food products, including produce and dry goods to restaurant partners in Ukraine to supplement the strained food supply chain. Chef Sam Molavi has run the kitchens of DC's most acclaimed restaurants including St. Vincent, St. Anselm, Ripple, Compass Rose, Bibiana, and many more. Sam and Spencer met working at Ripple and have enjoyed creating unique dining experiences for friends and family since. Danny Fisher of locally based French wine importer, Wine Traditions, will provide pairings from small family owned organic wineries. The dinner will be hosted by Spencer & Ali Launer in Brookland DC. Location details will be provided to attendees prior to the dinner. This event will be held outside. If there is inclement weather, the dinner will take place under a covered porch. COVID vaccinations are required and will be checked upon arrival. A $170 minimum donation per person is required to attend. All proceeds go to WCK. Dinner and wine pairings included. Friday, June 10th, at 7:00 p.m. For more information, please click here.
