Hank's Oyster Bar Launches Oyster-Infused Beer With Denizens Brewing Co.

Jamie Leeds Restaurant Group’s flagship restaurant, Hank’s Oyster Bar, is introducing an exclusive, oyster-infused beer—the Salty Wolfe Stout—in partnership with beloved Maryland-based craft beer brand Denizens Brewing Company. Launching Friday, November 29, the dark ale will be available on tap at all Hank’s Oyster Bar locations throughout D.C. and Northern Virginia through the end of 2019. Fifty cents from the sale of each pint will go to fund oyster recovery projects in the Chesapeake Bay as part of Leeds’ ongoing commitment to supporting the foundation’s sustainability efforts in the region. Denizens’ Head Brewer Jeff Ramirez describes Salty Wolfe Stout, an approachable brew at 5.1-percent ABV, as having “deep notes of bittersweet chocolate, smooth roast and subtle dark cherry, laced with an underlying umami brine deriving from the 30 dozen freshly-shucked oysters used in the kettle.” $7 a pint.
