Hi-Lawn’s 4th Annual Labor Day Rooftop Grill-Out & Party

Hi-Lawn, one of DC’s largest rooftops for outdoor dining and drinks, celebrates the end of summer with its 4th Annual Labor Day Rooftop Grill-Out & Party.

You can enjoy four days of cookout favorites like smashburgers, hot dogs, pit beef sandwiches, tacos, wraps, and summer snacks, alongside festive drinks including tropical cocktails, creative spritzes, vodka-spiked adult juice boxes, picnic coolers, buckets of beer, wine, and zero-proof options.

Highlights include:

Friday, August 29: Live music with Miss Angie (6–8 pm)

Labor Day, Monday, September 1: Rooftop opens early (12–8 pm) with a Lawn Game Tournament at 1 pm and live music with Miss Angie (4–6 pm)

All weekend: Lawn games like cornhole, giant Connect Four, Jenga, UNO, and more, plus open lawn space for picnicking.

The celebration is free to attend, with food and beverages available à la carte. Hi-Lawn accepts reservations via Resy but saves much of its space for walk-ins. Guests can access the rooftop through the front-east entrance of Union Market, next to Suburbia. More info at hilawndc.com.
