Letters from the Heart: Mother’s Day Calligraphy Workshop

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a creative touch at the Letters from the Heart: Mother’s Day Calligraphy Workshop on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Shop Made In DC – Union Market. Led by Joanie Garcia, this beginner-friendly class introduces participants to the fundamentals of modern calligraphy.

Guests will learn essential strokes, practice simple alphabets, and explore how to turn letters into meaningful words and phrases. By the end of the session, each participant will create a custom, hand-lettered Mother’s Day card while gaining foundational skills to continue their calligraphy journey for future projects, journaling, or décor. No prior experience is required.
