Lunar New Year at Karravaan
To celebrate Lunar New Year, Karravaan, Union Market’s ode to the Silk Road and its culinary influence, will host festive celebrations welcoming the Year of the Horse with symbolic dishes, live entertainment, and sweet traditions.
On February 17th and 21st, Karravaan will offer special à la carte menu features inspired by traditional Lunar New Year foods believed to bring prosperity, longevity, and good fortune, including Steamed Pork + Lemongrass Dumplings, Vietnamese Long Garlic Noodles, and Pan-Roasted Whole Branzino. To sweeten the celebration, guests dining on February 17th and 21st will receive complimentary Sticky Rice Balls for dessert, symbolizing family unity and togetherness.
The festivities continue on February 21, when traditional dragon dancers will weave throughout the restaurant beginning at 4:30 p.m., a performance meant to protect diners against evil spirits in the year ahead.
