The European Union National Institutes of Culture in Washington DC (EUNIC DC) presents Mountaineering Day to come together for the love of mountaineering. Try your hand at the climbing wall or relax with a cold crew and the tunes of the folk band Orchester Praževica. The day will also include a raptor and German Shepherd display, learn about how the EU is combating climate change and preserving nature, and take part in a mapping and sustainability challenge. Check out a cooking display, learn about mountaineering from top athletes and EU-based companies, and discover alpine destinations to add to your climbing list. Admission is free for guests of all ages, however, a reservation is required; please make your reservation here. Mountaineering Day will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
