Project Glow and Chris Lake to throw massive outdoor dance party on Pennsylvania Ave
Penn Ave.
Glow—the longest-running electronic music promotions company on the East Coast—announced that its flagship DC festival Project Glow is teaming up with Black Book Records for a first-of-its-kind dance-music takeover of Pennsylvania Avenue, headlined by global electronic star Chris Lake. Set for April 18, this high-energy block party will transform 600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW—just steps from the National Gallery of Art and National Archives—into a euphoric outdoor dance floor filled with booming basslines, hands-in-the-air hooks, food vendors, brand activations, and nonstop positive vibes. The event marks Lake’s return to Washington, DC following his standout headlining set at Project Glow 2025 and celebrates his Grammy-nominated career, including hits like Turn Off the Lights and Somebody and his recent album Chemistry. Organizers anticipate up to 10,000 attendees for this rain-or-shine prelude to Project Glow’s fifth-anniversary festival, taking place May 30–31. Founded by Pete Kalamoutsos, Glow helped shape DC into a premier dance-music destination—first by hosting underground shows at venues like the D.C. Armory, then by opening Echostage in 2012. The Chris Lake pop-up runs from 4–9 pm, with tickets priced at $65 for GA and $125 for VIP, going on sale Friday, February 27, with early access for Project Glow ticket holders and presale registrants.
