Riot! The Pride Opening Party

When:

Where:
Echostage
2135 Queens Chapel Rd NE

On June 28, 1969, following a police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a riot broke out that lasted for several days. A united LGBTQ+ community — one that was diverse with regard to sexual orientation, gender identities, and race, and that included queer icons such as Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera — sparked a revolution of activism that would lead to the rights today. Now, as it marks the fiftieth anniversary of the riot that started it all, you are able to celebrate, dance, and be true to yourself because of the heroes who came before and gave rise to the powerful community with a RIOT. While the work is not done, Pride creates a powerful foundation that will help advance the cause of human dignity, equal rights, and a world free from discrimination and prejudice. Tickets are $35 per person. 9:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, please click here.
